Before you think this is a post about marriage consummation or any such naughtiness ….you’d be wrong! It’s about A little thing called love’s first EVER wedding fair!!
If you follow me on Facebook then you will have noticed I joined the simply wonderful Glasgow Wedding Collective (GWC) – if you don’t know about it then you should!! It is a one stop shop for all the very best wedding suppliers….not biased at all. Just go check it out.
So when the first GWC bridal market of 2015 was announced as 31st January, I signed up. With complete fear and excitement I may add. I had so much to organise, build, paint, design and print to be ready in time! It was hectic but felt so good to be exhibiting at an event which had been so important to me as a bride to be!
To tell you the truth I found it all a really daunting, being amongst the insanely creative crew at GWC – have you seen them all?….they are AWESOME! Would I measure up? Would I fit in? Would my stall look okay? Would couples like my designs and collections? Would I smudge lipstick on my teeth and not find out till the end of the day?
Anyway, I need not have worried, the GWC veterans like Caro Wiess Photography, Sugar 8 Films and Rowan Joy Bridal took me under their wing! And my super good buddy, Barry Best at Worldly Nomad Films (best wedding films in the universe – fact) was also exhibiting for the first time so we freaked out and panicked together!
Well…I had a total BLAST, loads of amazingly cool couples and what a total dream to chat about weddings all day long! It was also such an inspiration to see all of the suppliers stalls (swoon) and eat the amazing delights from Three Sisters Bake (yum).
Here are a few beautiful snaps from the day courtesy of Christopher Currie Photography…
So, it is now time to start planning the next GWC bridal market on Sunday 3rd May……get it in your diaries!!
Oh…what will I do to my stall this time? Better get my thinking cap on…..and my Pinterest app warmed up!
Hopefully see you there.
